The Billing Clerk plays a crucial role in the financial operations of Sparxpress. Responsible for accurately processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining billing records, the Billing Clerk ensures that all billing activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Generate and process invoices for services rendered to customers accurately and efficiently.
- Verify billing information, including rates, charges, and terms, to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer contracts and company policies.
- Review and reconcile billing discrepancies or errors, investigating and resolving issues as needed.
- Communicate with customers to address billing inquiries, resolve disputes, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain billing records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including operations and finance, to ensure accurate and timely billing processes.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities as required.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to billing and invoicing processes.
- Perform other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned by management.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Proficiency in using billing software and accounting systems; experience with industry-specific software such as TMW Systems or McLeod Software is a plus.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process large volumes of data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with billing regulations and compliance requirements in the transportation industry is desirable.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
