**I. Job Summary**:
The purpose of this position is to provide efficient, accurate, professional assistance to the Assistant Controller in the general maintenance and Agency Bill Policy transactions for the agency.

**II. Principal Responsibilities**
- Processing of cash receipts into the Epic agency management system. (Clients/commissions)
- Transact all Agency Bill Polices from carrier invoices and check for accuracy.
- Assist CFO with the monthly financial closings and various reconciliations of GL accounts.
- Perform end of month bank reconciliations on agency exchange accounts.
- Support the Assistant Controller in other projects as requested.
- Prepare deposits to Norwalk exchange account and do the banking weekly.
- Review various daily reports for commission errors.
- Check the daily client payment reports, pull Agency bill invoices, and drop into “To be paid” folder for reconciliation
- Collect all office exchange ledgers and receipts to backup exchange account reconciliation.
- Notify Assistant account managers of Direct Bill payments to be uploaded
- Deposit Attorney & Bill pay checks into Norwalk Exchange and notify Assistants to make payment. Follow up for payment receipts.

**III. Education/Experience**

High School Graduate

1-2 years general insurance experience

Property/casualty agent’s license preferred, but not required

IV. Job Specific Competencies

Effective communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Capable of problem solving using internal and external contacts

Knowledge of insurance agency receipts and disbursements procedures.

Analytical skills and very strong attention to detail.

Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, database, and access to company websites.

Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

**V. Business Impact/Scope: (span of control, budgets, employees managed, impact on bottom line)**:
This position’s primary responsibility is to safeguard the integrity of financial data through processing of cash receipts and operating disbursements. No direct reports and no budget authority. Very little impact on bottom line.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
