**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a passionate Dog Groomer Apprentice to join our team. As a Dog Groomer Apprentice, you will be responsible for learning how to provide professional dog grooming services to our furry clients. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent animal handling skills and a deep understanding of pet care, ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for long periods of time, strong physical stamina to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments, ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, and time management skills. Must have passion for animals and a genuine desire to provide the best care possible.

Skills you will learn/Duties:

- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trims, and ear cleaning for various breeds of dogs
- Ensure the safety and well-being of dogs during the grooming process
- Assess the condition of dogs' coats, skin, and overall health, and provide appropriate grooming recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including equipment sanitization
- Communicate with dog owners to understand their grooming preferences and ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor dogs for any signs of discomfort or health issues and report any concerns to the appropriate staff member
- knowledge of different dog breeds, their specific grooming needs, and breed-specific haircuts
- Excellent animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain animals when necessary
- Knowledge of basic dog training techniques
- Good communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners and team members

**Instructor**:
You will be trained by Laura Matella. She has 20+ years of dog grooming experience and is certified through the National Dog Grooming Association of America.
