Magic of Paws in North Yarmouth, ME, seeks a passionate and experienced Pet Groomer to join our growing team of 10 dedicated animal lovers. Located at 14 Snow Hook Trail, our salon provides a warm and welcoming environment for pets and their owners. We seek a self-motivated, reliable, and skilled individual to provide top-notch grooming services to our furry clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of pet grooming, including bathing, drying, brushing, de-matting, trimming, styling, and nail clipping
  • Utilize various grooming tools and techniques, ensuring the safety and comfort of the animals at all times
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service, building rapport with pet owners and addressing their concerns
  • Offer guidance and recommendations on pet care and grooming practices
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest grooming trends and techniques

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a professional Pet Groomer, preferably in a salon setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of different dog and cat breeds, their coat types, and specific grooming requirements
  • Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments with patience and care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with pets and their owners
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality grooming services
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fear Free Certification, or willingness to align with the requirements of the certification (we cover the cost of membership), is a must
