Facilities and Energy Services mission is to support the built campus environment of Texas A&M University. We consist of five key units: Facilities Management, Office of the University Architect, Facilities Analytics and Mapping, Building Access and Key Control, and Utilities and Energy Services. We oversee routine and preventative maintenance for Texas A&M as well as serving as the initial point of contact for project requests involving buildings and infrastructure. We are also responsible for key control and card access systems including issuing of keys, rekeying services and building access. With targeted efforts to increase efficiency and reduce our carbon footprint, we also connect faculty, staff, students and visitors with power, water, and thermal energy in more than 30 million square feet of facilities. Deemed the official keeper of the campus map for building locations/inventory, we support space requests and compliance for state and federal reporting needs.

Salary is commensurate with experience with a starting range between $65,000 - $80,000.

**Qualifications**

**Required Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of related experience including two years of related supervisory experience. Two years of supervisory experience.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in marketing and communication at an institution of higher education.
- Knowledge of TAMU policies and regulations.

**Responsibilities**
- **Communications**:

- Assists in directing internal and external agency communications. Writes, reviews and edits written materials, prepares presentations and communicates with appropriate parties to announce new initiatives and discuss organizational changes that maintain a positive image of the agency. Serve as a member of executive communications group, oversees website content, maintenance and social media strategy. Facilitates key agency events. Assists with pitches and opportunities to various media outlets. May supervise support staff.
- **Marketing**:

- Oversees development of effective marketing and communication materials including production and design direction, branding strategies, quality control of materials, brand and style guides, etc.
- **Strategy**:

- Creates, develops and implements a strategic marketing/communications plan for the agency. Creates messaging to communicate priorities and impacts for internal and external constituents, elected officials, stakeholders, employees. Cooperates with the university’s EIR Accessibility Coordinators on accessibility compliance for digital experiences. Maintains knowledge of the latest laws and regulations for accessibility-related digital content.
