**Basic Function**

Provide support in functional areas of Human Resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, training, AAP/EEO, and special projects. Assist in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, communications, and/or meetings. Prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirements or organization needs.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

*Marginal position functions that are not included among the essential duties and responsibilities in this position description are also requirements of this position.

1. Administer and understand the principles of the medical, dental, 401k, life insurance, and other benefit programs to consult with and advise employees on eligibility, provisions, and other matters related to benefits, including administration of Cobra and FMLA.

2. Partners with leaders to evaluate and address workforce planning needs. Develops an understanding of the current business landscape, future business strategies, and annual budgets to provide guidance on personnel changes. Assist in the creation of job specifications.

a. Process permanent and temporary employment requisitions, work with recruiters, interview applicants, and assist in hiring decisions. Upon hire, compile and maintain personnel records for use in compensation and benefit actions. Assist in the maintenance of AAP logs and applicant tracking system.

3. Participates in the administration of the annual talent management processes. Consults with leaders to ensure annual performance management practices are effective and completed in a timely manner.

4. Consults with leaders, providing guidance and coaching that enables effective performance management conversations. Partners with leaders to execute corrective action processes.

5. Administer workers’ compensation program to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain all legal documents related to Workers Compensation. Responsible for claims administration and audits, report preparation, and compilation of statistics. Interfaces with employees, managers, insurance carriers, medical personnel, and attorneys. Maintain OSHA 300 Log. Attend monthly safety committee meetings and provide support for the program.

6. Maintain positive employee relations by assisting employees with everyday questions and organizing and participating in other functions such as employee communications (including newsletters, bulletin boards, and meetings) training programs, wellness programs, and employee relations social activities.

8. Support division HR leadership on special projects (Wage and Salary Proposals, AAP, Benefits Open Enrollment, etc.).

9. Support employee development and communications via special projects (such as facilitating

training programs, participating in and supporting companywide communications).

10. Access data from confidential employee records in the organization’s computerized human resources information system. Generate and distribute a variety of reports and statistical summaries regarding employee skills, pay data, and related information.

11. Prepare correspondence, charts, graphs, proposals, reports, summaries, and similar documents when needed. Translate these documents into Spanish.

12. Regular attendance.

13. Ability to get along with others in a team environment.

14. Other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelors degree in a business or human resources related field of study preferred. Masters level degree a plus.
- 3-5 years of related HR generalist experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally in English and Spanish
- Familiarity with and experience using HR database systems
- HR professional certification preferred

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
