**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Assist the Plant Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating plant activities to fulfill sales orders and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.
- Monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
- Assist in the supervision of maintenance and repairs of plant equipment.
- Ensure proper documentation of inventory transactions (shipments, transfers, receipts, etc.).
- Work as part of the management team to meet inventory requirements.
- Supervise the soil blending line to ensure quality and safety.
- Maximize equipment utilization to maintain production and efficiency goals.
- Direct and monitor training of Production Workers.
- Plan and coordinate employee work schedules.
- Ensure and maintain the overall cleanliness of the blending line, warehouse, and surrounding areas.
- Supervision of all personnel to ensure that safety and health factors are recognized in all processes.
- Direct Soil Blending Operations and operate the Supermaxx blending line as needed.
- Dispatch delivery trucks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local ordinances affecting this position.
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and programs.
- Maintain valid licenses, certifications and/or permits required to perform responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.

**EDUCATION**:

- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture or related field preferred.

**WORK EXPERIENCE**:

- Experience operating forklift and skid steer loader.

**LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS**:

- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Thorough knowledge of all production methods, techniques and related equipment.
- Must be able to read and interpret Mix Sheets and Pick Lists.
- Must have complete knowledge of production scheduling and plant operations.
- Must be extremely organized, self-motivated and can work independently.
- Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Communicating with internal and external customers - must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend.
- Mobility of arms - Must be able to reach, and use arms to manipulate small objects.
- Mobility inside the plant - Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Position will require some weekend work as necessary to complete essential functions.
- Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Work is routinely performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface, with frequent exposure to both internal and external environment.
- Frequent exposure to severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
- Frequent exposure to dust, and noise levels that exceed a normal threshold.

**PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT**:

- Must wear steel-toed boots.
- Required: Safety glasses and ear gloves
- Recommended: Gloves, back brace, and safety attire as noted by guides provided in specific areas. These will be provided by Harrell’s upon request.
