The Financial Consultant will develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and controls. They will perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. They will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, preparing, and summarizing recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts. The Financial Consultant will perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, warranties, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead preparation for monthly financial, operating & board reviews
- Assist in ad hoc analysis & requests
- Perform detailed financial analysis and build complex financial models
- Create and present analysis to facilitate and influence decision making processes with both senior management and functional counterparts
- Support planning and forecasting cycle, including Strategic Plan, Operating Plan, and monthly forecasts
- Lead R&D program approvals and support related management
- Lead capital projects and prepare related business cases
- Lead headcount forecasting, analyze resource utilization and developing relevant performance metricsAssist in implementing and maintaining best practice financial tools and processes
- Proactively identify, analyze and communicate trends and issues affecting the business
- Provide value add by streamlining processes and delivering efficiencies

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree- At least 2 years of finance experience

OR
- Master's degree
- At least 1 year of finance experience

OR- At least 5 years of finance experience

Additional Requirements:
Desired Skills:

- Strong Financial Analysis/Modeling skills
- Operations experience with proven track record of successful business partnership
- Strong understanding of business principles
- Project management experience desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Database/data manipulation and analysis
