**Primary Function**:
Responsible for the leadership, administration, planning, and development of the Districts Nursing Education Department and its Registered Nurse (RN) educational program; ensures the quality of the program and its compliance with relevant laws, regulations and external accreditation standards; supervises assigned employees.

**Salary**: $11,374.50 [step 1] - $13,855.54 [step 5]. Step placement may be negotiable dependent upon education and experience. Administrators that possess earned doctorates from accredited institutions are awarded an annual stipend of $1,842.81.

The estimated maximum value of this employer-paid benefits package is approximately $41,360 annually.

**Minimum Qualifications**:
To be eligible for this position, you must meet and provide evidence of the following minimum qualifications:
**Experience**:
One (1) years experience as a Director or Assistant Director of Nursing with validated performance of administrative responsibilities consistent with administering a registered nursing program, including coordinating and directing all activities in developing, implementing, and managing the program, including its fiscal planning pursuant to Title 16, 1420(h);
Two (2) years experience teaching in pre
- or post-licensure registered nursing programs; and
One (1) years continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience direct patient care as a registered nurse or clinical instructor within the last five years; OR equivalent experience and/or education, as determined by the BRN.
**Note**: For work experience, a "year" is defined as equivalent to 40 hours per week for 12 months. For supervisory experience, the experience must be at a professional level (i.e. evaluation and/or discipline of staff).
AND

**Education**: A Masters or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing, education or administration.
