The Adler Planetarium connects people to the universe and each other. **The Position**
The Adler Planetarium is seeking a Development Database Specialist to join our dynamic team located on Chicago's Museum Campus. The Development Database Specialist is responsible for maintaining the donor database including daily entry of gifts, donor research, supporting gift solicitation activities, stewardship of donors, and report preparation and creation. This position will bridge the Development, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure gift and constituent data are correctly entered, appropriately, and effectively communicated. This individual will also be responsible for:
Processing, recording, and maintaining accurate information on all gifts and donors in the database.- Updating and properly coding all constituent information to support the fundraising team's cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts.- Assisting with developing and optimizing data workflows and processes with an eye toward innovation and maximum efficiency.- Analyzing donor and gift data and identifying trends, insights, and opportunities.- Creating reports and dashboards based on analysis and sharing with the team.- Creating and managing the policies and standard operating procedures for data collection, entry, and management.- Providing technical training and support; acting as a resource for department staff on proper data entry.
**FT The Compensation & Benefits**
Base Pay: range: $22.59 to 24.02/hour

**The Person**
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or 3+ years of professional work experience- At least two years of experience with data processing and/or database management- Experience demonstrating scrupulous accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in data entry and information processing- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion- Proactive self-starter who is organized and incredibly detail-oriented- Proven ability to prioritize and work independently, and responsibly, and meet deadlines- Experience in using customer relationship management (CRM) software- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends

- Experience working in Raiser’s Edge and/or Salesforce
