Mount Sinai Solutions (MSS) is a unique business unit within Mount Sinai created to assemble Mount Sinai's clinical and population health assets into product offerings (e.g., care bundles, worksite health centers, navigation) and sell the product offerings to individuals, plan sponsors or companies via multiple channels (e.g., direct to employer, strategic partnerships). MSS is a strategically important business unit within Mount Sinai and is looking for team members who:

- Are comfortable “playing up” and “playing down” as needed to accomplish business objectives
- Work productively amidst ambiguity
- Thrive in fast-paced work environments
- Seek to improve the status quo

We are looking for talented professionals that are passionate about developing a true system of care that can create market-leading value for our customers, members, and patients. MSS optimizes commercial volume by providing enhanced patient experience and meeting our customer’s unique needs. Historically, we have done this through two broad product lines: Specialty Care Bundles, and Dedicated and Shared Health Centers, but are actively reacting to the market to better serve our customers and their employees.

MSS** **seeks an Associate** **who** **will support the development of these new models. The Product Associate will “productize” our specialty care, population health, and customer service assets into health care service offerings that offer the best customer value in the market. This work includes 1) Market assessment, 2) Health care data analytics 3) Product pricing and forecasting, 4) Patient journey mapping, 5) Clinical model research, 6) Reporting and performance monitoring.

The Product Associate is a highly visible role with significant opportunities to engage with senior leadership across the Mount Sinai Health System. The Associate will also interface with key stakeholders from across the local, regional, and national healthcare market.

**Responsibilities**

**Product Commercialization**

Support activities related to commercializing products including the execution of strategy for pricing, selling, and marketing our products including product sales support and the support of a governance process for customer pricing and contracting. Develop detailed forecasts of product costs (fixed and variable) to recommend pricing structures that achieve financial objectives. Analyze the benefits of partnering with payers, benefit consultants, and other third parties for selling the products vs. the cost of building a direct sales force.

**Product Development**

Support the development of new products and product features, reducing high-level ideas to detailed designs use cases and requirements. Partner with technology, operations, clinical, and customers teams throughout MSHP and Mount Sinai Health system to develop the products on budget and on time.

**Product Performance**

Support the monitoring of product performance via measuring and analyzing key outcome metrics during product pilots and general usage, developing information-driven recommendations for new product features, solutions for product challenges, and opportunities for product re-positioning. Own a designated area of the product P&L, including monitoring trends and developing evidence-based solutions to anomalies. Share regular updates with manager and leadership on product performance and recommendations for improvement and seek guidance where needed.

**Product Business Cases**

Analyze market intelligence to develop and continuously update business cases for each product category. Each case will include a financial forecast of revenue and contribution margin from product sales and operations and recommend actions including sizing investments required for and viability of new product launches, prioritizing product investment decisions, and build/buy/partner decisions.

**Market Intelligence Research**

Support the re-positioning of existing products and the identification of new product opportunities via thorough ongoing first and third-party research of the addressable market, competitor offerings, and government regulations. Such research will include analysis of third-party data obtained from customers and from paid subscription sources. Data obtained from these sources will be quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed, leveraging software for data mining and storage, to size and characterize customer needs, competitor strengths and weakness to identify and quantify risks and opportunities. Manage and disseminate relevant market intelligence to the broader Mount Sinai Solutions team.
