Low Voltage Designer with AutoCAD Experience

We are looking for a talented Low Voltage Designer with AutoCAD experience to join our dynamic team in Orlando, FL.
Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed low voltage system designs using Blue Beam & AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Create and revise detailed drawings and plans for security, fire alarm, access control, and audio-visual systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure designs are accurate and meet project specifications.
- Conduct site surveys to gather necessary information for design development.
- Prepare bill of materials (BOM) and assist in cost estimation for projects.
- Review and interpret architectural drawings and specifications to incorporate into low voltage designs.
- Ensure all designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning of systems.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in low voltage technologies, Blue Beam, and AutoCAD software.
- Attend new job kickoff meeting with Project manager, Sales, and Foreman.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in low voltage system design.
- Proficiency in Blue Beam and AutoCAD is required.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, including Networking, Access Control, CCTV, Audio, Video, Vehicle Gates, Burg, etc.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes such as NFPA 70, 72, 101, FBC, and local building codes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual
- Certification in low voltage systems design (e.g., NICET, BICSI) is highly desirable.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, Design, or a related field.
- Experience with project management software.
- Knowledge of network and cabling infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with the installation and commissioning of low voltage systems.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
