Low Voltage Technology Technician

We are currently seeking a Low Voltage Technology Technician specialized in Low Voltage Technology to join our Orlando Technologies Group. Our Low Voltage Technologies Group is undergoing a remarkable period of expansion and advancement. This presents an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of our team, actively contributing to the ongoing development of Team RDB.
**Responsibilities**
- Performing installation, maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of low-voltage systems such as audio/visual, access control, networking, surveillance, structured cabling, telephone systems, etc.
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge and expertise in structured cabling and low-voltage systems, covering all aspects for provided systems.
- Ensuring effective communication by keeping an open line of communication regarding project milestones, events, outstanding issues, and customer follow-up.
- Maintaining accurate technical documentation and promptly notifying management of any updates needed, including identifying gaps and collecting missing information.
- Collaborating with Project Team(s) to prepare for field deployment, attending project handoff meetings, and assisting with materials delivery and staging.
- Building and maintaining strong project relationships by delivering quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Installing and removing various types of low-voltage cabling, including fiber optic cabling.
- Pulling, terminating, labeling, and testing standard industry cable types in different topologies.
- Reading blueprints and executing installations according to plans.
- Understanding topology concepts such as IDF, MDF, BDR, riser, conduit, line-of-sight, etc.
- Operating company-owned automobiles safely.
- Accurately recording work time and notes in accordance with company standards.
- Attending all required meetings and functions as directed by management.
- Undertaking other tasks within the scope of a field superintendent as assigned by the supervisor.
- Traveling locally and to construction sites, as well as to both local and remote service areas as necessary.
**Qualifications**
- Experience with audio, video, security, access control, and network systems.
- Proficiency in terminating, testing, and certifying RG6 and Cat6 cables.
- Strong willingness to learn and quickly advance within a fast-growing high and low voltage technology contractor, which provides client-focused turnkey solutions.
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with a keen desire to succeed in the technology business
- Knowledge of the telecommunications industry
Team RDB will provide on-the-job training in all safety, tool operation, and maintenance areas.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
