HDR is hiring an Electronic Security Designer 2 to join our team in Orlando, FL.
Primary Responsibilities:
Primary duties will include the development of design specifications and drawings for integrated low voltage systems. Major areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Meeting with clients to determine detailed communications project requirements Develop communications design narratives, specifications, drawings and cost estimates for projects Coordinate electronic security design work with other disciplines such as Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, etc. Formally present electronic security design ideas and submissions to clients Perform internal quality assurance/quality control for peer projects Perform contractor bid submittal review for completeness Provide construction administration services during construction phases of projects*LI-JS6
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in low voltage system design Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time Broad industry knowledge and experience with Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, Systems, UFC Standards, Must be self-starting, self-directing, and task oriented Demonstrated ability to manage a number of concurrent projects and meet deadlines Must possess strong written, verbal and communications skills Strong computer skills required, such as MS Office Suite, working across multiple office networks and automated business systemsPreferred Qualifications
PSP certification is preferred CEPTED preferred AutoCAD, Microstation, VISIO, Bluebeam experience is a plus Military design experience is a plus Local candidates are preferredWhy HDR
