Your Role: As a Patient Billing Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our client's organization. You'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing patient billing statements, resolving billing inquiries, and managing collections to maximize revenue recovery. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will directly impact our bottom line and help us continue to deliver outstanding care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Generate and review patient billing statements in accordance with insurance policies and guidelines.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and insurance claim rejections.
- Communicate with patients to address billing inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and coding practices.
- Utilize billing software and systems to track and manage accounts receivable.
- Implement collection strategies to reduce outstanding balances and improve cash flow.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to billing and collections.
- Analyze accounts receivable reports and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist in developing and maintaining billing and collections policies and procedures.
- Work closely with insurance providers to verify coverage and resolve payment issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide regular updates and reports on billing and collections activities to management.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in medical billing and collections preferred.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a remote environment.
- Certification in medical billing and coding a plus.
