Job Summary
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic and hands-on role that provides a broad range of services and support to an assigned group of store locations, supporting our people initiatives, business objectives and strategic goals. The position serves as primary point person and consultant to associates and leaders on human resources related topics and issues. Acting as an associate champion and change agent, the role assesses and anticipates HR related needs, communicates proactively with the HR team and delivers value-added services.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Serve customers, associates, vendors and partners while modeling Sendik’s culture and providing “best in class” customer service
- Works closely with leaders to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Provides coaching and guidance to leaders; meets on a regular, consistent basis to drive people practices and a high level of associate engagement
- Facilitates and delivers various HR related information to leaders and associates as needed
- Acts as a liaison for talent including involvement in internal moves, staffing and succession planning
- Manages and resolves complex associate relations issues; conducts effective, thorough investigations.
- Engages in the anniversary and performance review process with leaders; provides regular performance management guidance to managers (e.g. coaching, career development, disciplinary actions), makes compensation related recommendations and encourages the use of other reward and recognition tools
- Collaborate with HR team members to deliver required expertise, resources and services to drive initiatives
- Supports the implementation of HR programs, communication and initiatives
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Facilitates new hire orientation and new leader onboarding sessions; manages specific leader onboarding plans accordingly
- Visible in store locations focused on answering associate questions, developing a working relationship to assist in furthering associate engagement and is the HR point person.
- Assist in the stores during peak holiday seasons as needed
- Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned

**Data Analytics Responsibilities**:

- Analyze data and make recommendations to the management team for continuous improvement
- Support in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of departments compared to established goals or benchmarking.
- Provide strategic workforce planning for customers to anticipate and identify recruitment and potential experience gaps, and department succession planning
- Identify and recommend participation in area and industry surveys; serve as a liaison for support and administration

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Human Resources with a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines
- Certification from an accredited human resources industry leader/association such as PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP designations preferred
- 3 plus years’ of progressively responsible, related human resources experience.
- Experience in supporting hourly associate client group
