**When Pigs Fly** **bakery **is looking for an independent contractor/owner operator Route Sales Representative. The route sales rep is responsible for the sales, delivery, and merchandising of When Pigs Fly fresh baked products and developing relationships with customers, managers and other personnel. This position is assigned to an independent contractor, acting as route manger, to service retail customers delivery and merchandising needs. The goal of this position is to efficiently maximize sales opportunities and support growth in regional sales by providing reliable structured service to an assigned sales and delivery area.
- Estimated income range from route sales of $70,000-$80,000 per year.
- Route Sales training provided.
- Handheld/printer training and setup provided.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Acting as a self-motivated sales and delivery contractor to drive retail sales in assigned territory.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Communicate sales volume changes and order needs.
- Increase sales through shelf space expansion and the sale/use of in-store promotions and displays.
- Established and maintain service schedule to ensure continued customer satisfaction and consistent service times.
- Know and follow all retailer/account standard operating procedures, including, but not limited to, check in/check out and service windows.
- Adhere to FIFO inventory management by appropriately rotating product and removing damaged or out-of-code product as necessary.
- Perform daily route settlement requirements.
- Obtain authorization (“sell in”) from accounts’ key decision makers for new product launch and displays. Properly place and assemble displays to maximize exposure to consumers and to increase sales.

**Desired Experience**

Minimum of 1 year related experience in retail sales, DSD sales, and/or business-to-business sales

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
