The W. P. Carey School of Business, where business is personal ®, is searching for a Director of Programs and Operations to join its Executive Education, Corporate Partnerships, and Lifelong Learning team. This is a highly visible and impactful role in an important, growing and exciting unit at ASU’s highly ranked W. P. Carey School of Business. You will contribute to the school’s mission by driving innovative and interdisciplinary programs locally, nationally, and globally engaging learners, partner organizations, stakeholders, and emerging constituencies.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean of Executive Education, Corporate Partnerships, and Lifelong Learning, the Director will lead the operations activities of the unit and its portfolio as observed through the timely, comprehensive delivery of programs. The Director will develop, monitor and regularly report on operational KPIs and tactics to ensure that expected program outcomes are achieved. The role will include directly overseeing program planning and delivery logistics for custom and open enrollment programs providing highly relevant and resonant learning opportunities and in online, on-campus/in-person, and/or hybrid environments.

**Essential Duties**
- Oversees program implementation and delivery team
- Plans, directs and reviews activities and operations to ensure achievement of established objectives and goals consistent with the mission of the University and the School
- Develops strategies and approaches to successfully implement strategic initiatives and/or new initiatives.
- Directs new program planning, development and implementation.
- Participates in the hiring, training, and evaluation of department staff; supervises directly and/or through subordinates to manage assigned department staff
- Collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives; maintains collegial relationships
- Assists with developing annual strategic goals and objectives along with internal policy and procedure to aid in meeting those goals and objectives
- Serves as a representative of the University at state, regional and national organizations, boards, councils, and committees, as assigned.
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders, leadership, and other related staff to define and identify all required infrastructure needs to implement strategic initiatives
- Proactively identifies and resolves problems and/or issues affecting the department; directs measures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department
- Directs, manages and oversees the design, development, coordination and evaluation of departmental programs and projects to ensure achievement of established outcomes
- Serves as a key resource in owning or engaging in special assignments and strategic projects, delegating and managing resources to monitor projects through completion
- Engages in special assignments and projects including; content building and preparation of documents, briefings, or presentations

**Minimum Qualifications**

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND eight (8) years of related administrative experience, which includes five (5) years of supervisory experience; OR, Twelve (12) years of related administrative experience, which includes five (5) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

**Desired Qualifications**
- Experience in project management of technical or scientific endeavors
- Evidence of an MBA or Masters in relevant field such as Instructional Design or Educational Psychology
- Experience in working with various accreditation entities (such as the Project Management Institute, National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, Society for Human Resource Management, etc.) to become a registered provider of continuing professional education
- Experience leading custom corporate and open enrollment education program offerings, ability to manage multiple stakeholders. Fosters partnerships; develops understanding of needs, issues, problems
- Experience managing a portfolio of learning programs or services holistically
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); project management software
- Experience in organizing and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines
- Deadline driven with good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Evidence of effective communications skills, having a positive attitude, and being a team player
- Experience in being flexible
