**Department**:
Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies (COAPS)

**Responsibilities**:
This position serves as grants management, purchasing, and travel support staff for the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies (COAPS).

Responsibilities include:

- Assisting in grants management by providing information to the Research Center Director, Sr. Administrative Specialist, and Grants Compliance Analyst to assist in making financial decisions.
- Processing Travel including Authorization Requests and Expense Reports for Research Center travelers and visitors; assisting travelers with making reservations and other travel arrangements as requested; serving as a travel card holder for the Research Center.
- Submitting purchase requests for the Research Center; advising faculty and staff on FSU and sponsored project purchasing rules and regulations; serving as a purchasing card holder for the Research Center.
- Serving as HR transactional representative; entering OPS job offers, onboarding, dual compensation, I-9 representative, separation checklists and auditing time.
- Helping to maintain the Center's travel, P-card, personnel, requisition, and subcontract databases; posting transactions to grant spreadsheets; downloading monthly OBI transaction details and ledgers.
- Assisting with office management duties; mailing out letters and packages and distributing daily incoming mail; maintaining office supply levels; running errands to the main campus; serving as main phone contact for the Center and directing calls as needed; assisting with property inventory.
- Maintaining library records.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma/equivalent and four years of experience. Note: Post-high school education will substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Preferred Qualifications and Experience include:

- Experience with FSU OMNI Financials and Business Intelligence.
- Experience with grants management and working with Principal Investigators.
- Experience with OMNI travel and purchasing transaction processing.
- Good communication and organization skills.
- Experience in an office setting.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel or comparable software.
- Ability to work independently.

**Anticipated Salary Range**:
The minimum starting salary for the position is $36,250. Anticipated starting salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
