**Job description**
Serving as an integral member of the IHCC team, the Membership Coordinator will provide leadership and oversight of the chamber’s membership, attracting new members and retaining and supporting existing members. The coordinator will ensure membership initiatives are implemented effectively and efficiently, and all goals are successfully met.
The coordinator should be proactive, creative, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, passion, and savvy regarding marketing strategies and social media and be passionate about creating a positive, lasting impact on the Latino business community.
**Role and responsibilities**
- Responsible for the chamber’s membership growth and retainment.
- Develop and maintain an annual membership budget and sales plan and create and execute a new member onboarding plan and/or process.
- Manage and maintain the membership database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Prepare and present proposals to prospective and current members and community members based on their needs and priorities.
- Responsible for handling member inquiries and concerns quickly and effectively.
- Coordinating membership orientation meetings for new members.
- Collaborate with other IHCC staff to develop and promote member programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate and support IHCC’s events.
- Play a key role in building strong relationships with small and midsize members, corporate members, community organizations, and other business support organizations.
- Represent IHCC in community activities and events, as needed, with other organizations, constituents, and key stakeholders to generate community awareness of IHCC and to develop sources for prospective members and partners.
- Analyze attributes of other relevant organization industry conferences, seminars, and meetings to explore potential ways to improve IHCC programming and competitive presence.
- Prepare reports on membership statistics, trends, and activities for internal use and board meetings.
- Assist in the development and execution of membership marketing campaigns.
- Manage membership budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
**Education**
Associate’s degree in communications, business, marketing, or related field preferred but not required.
**Qualifications**
- At least 2 years of experience in customer services, sales, chamber memberships, or related.
- Must have experience with creating budgets and financial reporting and demonstrate an understanding of the membership cycle.
- Must have knowledge and skill utilizing CRM systems.
- High level of proficiency in G-Suite and MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Eventbrite registration software.
- Familiarity with Canva software.
- Familiarity with Sales Force software.
- Experience with utilizing data collection tools and methods to develop impact metrics and reports is highly desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Experience in the non-profit sector is preferred but not required.
- Passion for serving the Latino business community.
**COMPENSATION**
Salary ranges between $60-65K, depending on experience. Must have a valid driver’s license and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
