Correctional Detention Officer

**Correctional Officer**

We are seeking ambitious, upwardly mobile individuals to fill our open positions. The Correctional Detention Officer position presents an opportunity to launch or further your Criminal Justice career. We will assist you as you will build your experience by ensuring maintenance of order, control and supervision of incarcerated individuals in a state correctional institution and internal and external security. You will advise and instruct incarcerated individuals in their adjustment to institutional living. Degree of work generally consists of relatively standardized tasks such as following departmental and institutional policy.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Possession of a high school diploma or possession of a High School Equivalent (HSE). Work experience, military experience and/or completed accredited college credits preferred, but not necessary.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Willingness to undergo a background investigation.
- Ability to pass a drug screen
