**Position Summary**:
The HR Assistant for the Expanded Learning Program plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of school sites by managing the placement of substitutes, maintaining accurate staff rosters, and supporting the hiring process. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and communication skills who can effectively manage multiple tasks and support school sites as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Substitute Placement**:

- Coordinate and place substitutes at school sites when staff members call off.
- Maintain a reliable list of substitute teachers and staff.
- Ensure substitutes are informed of their assignments promptly.
- **Roster Maintenance**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date staff rosters for each school site.
- Update rosters regularly and communicate changes to relevant parties.
- **Recruitment and Hiring**:

- Assist in the hiring process by preparing offer letters and new hire paperwork.
- **Pre-Hire Paperwork**:

- Manage the completion and submission of all pre-hire paperwork for new employees.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and district requirements.
- **NCLB Test Administration**:

- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of test results.
- **Support School Sites**:

- Provide HR-related support to school sites as needed.
- Address and resolve HR-related inquiries and issues from staff at school sites.
- **Additional Duties**:

- Assist with other HR projects and tasks as assigned by the HR Manager/Coordinator.
- Participate in HR meetings and training sessions to stay updated on HR policies and procedures.
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft suite: Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Ability to present to an audience.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Leadership: 1 year (preferred)

- Highland, CA (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Highland, CA: Relocate before starting work (required)
