(Payroll: Reynolds & Reynolds / Ignite; HR Compliance: KPA / VeraSuite) Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) 2 or more years related experience and/or training. Additional Information: This is a temporary position covering for maternity leave and will last from June to potentially October. The selected candidate will receive training and support to ensure a smooth transition into the role. Opportunities for extension or permanent employment may be available based on performance and organizational needs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Leave management compliance, including COVID, by responding to HRAbsenceTracking email inquiries, obtaining, and tracking COVID positive and close contact cases, staying abreast of CDC regulations and updating Leave Management Smartsheet tracker. Aids the recruiting team by posting job ads, distributing resumes, scheduling interviews, submitting invoices, refreshing old job ads, obtaining a weekly job ad report to the management teams, and obtaining a monthly applicant report to managers. Coordinates hiring events and schedules new upcoming events for the team to attend. Reviews and updates job descriptions as needed. Tracks HR compliance policies, trainings and provides regular update reports to managers. Submits workers’ compensation injuries to workers’ compensation carrier and performs a monthly 300A MI workers’ compensation update. Facilitates GoingPro training reimbursement from the state of Michigan through MIWorks by submitting annual applications and processing monthly tracking and submissions for reimbursement requests. Manages employee motor vehicle records (MVR) to ensure compliance with LaFontaine’s insurance agency by monitoring records daily for activity updates, expired drivers license and driver exclusions. Tracks and manages monthly turnover rate reports. Performs a quarterly employee referral drawing that is part of LaFontaine’s employee referral bonus program. Submits a monthly anniversary and birthday report to the Grassroots Marketing team for their monthly report as well as completes a monthly anniversary and birthday board for the corporate office. Completes regular reporting and audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Provides clerical support to the HR department as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
