**Role overview**

**What you’ll be doing**
- Generate insights on trends in our payment data and platform performance.
- Identify areas for optimization and work with stakeholders to prioritize and plan for improvement.
- Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to implement and measure product enhancements.
- Monitor and analyze payment transactions to identify discrepancies, errors, or potential fraud, and take appropriate action.
- Conduct thorough investigations into payment-related issues, collaborating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of payment processes, procedures, and workflows.
- Perform reconciliations and audits of financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Build out reporting for the compliance checks to ensure our systems and processes are working as intended and in compliance with all local laws and regulations.
- Assist in the development and execution of strategies to improve payment processing efficiency and reduce operational risks.
- Support cross-functional projects and initiatives related to payment systems and operations.
- Help ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and compliance standards, staying updated on industry regulations and best practices.

**What you have**
- 2+ years of experience in payment operations or a similar role within the fintech, banking, or payments industry.
- Proficiency in utilizing analytical tools and software for data analysis and reporting (e.g., SQL, Python).
- Strong understanding of payment systems, including ACH, card networks, and emerging payment technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or another analytical field.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements such as GDPR, AML, and other relevant standards is a plus.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $90,000 - $115,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits for which an individual may be eligible. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
