**SCHEDULE**: Full time, 8 hour days - flexible start time between 7:30am-9am

**SALARY**:$21-23/hr. based on experience

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Accounts Payable Functions**:

- Reconciles and maintains various General Ledger schedules. Discuss and provide any general journal entries that need to be made with the Business Manager.
- Verifies authorization of all purchases and post all authorized payable invoices.
- Follows-up and reviews outstanding invoices and open purchase orders with other
departments and/or vendors.
- Analyze invoices for sales and tax regulations.
- Make requests for refunds from vendors that have debit balances.
- Reconciles vendor statements to vendor invoices.
- Prepares monthly batch checks to vendors by 10th of each month.
- Issue checks for customers, employees, or miscellaneous reimbursements and submit checks for required signatures.
- Initiates warranty cancelations including issuing refund checks to lienholders and/or
customers (if assigned).
- Packages A/P and other files as needed for relocation.

**Accounts Receivable Functions**:

- Reconciles and deposits service and parts receipts, including credit cards, daily.
- Receipts all monies received from vehicle sales, checks for money due, and provides drafts for dealer signature.
- Enters finalized cash receipts and submits checks to bank for deposit using Remote Desktop Deposit.
- Files all cash receipt records, check stubs, and bank receipts.

**All-Inclusive Functions**:

- Collaborate with management to identify and communicate discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Provide back-up for audit upon request as needed.
- Attends company meetings as required.
- Provide coverage and/or assistance for other accounting staff when needed.
- Other Duties as assigned

**REQUIREMENTS**:
**Experience & Education**:

- Pre-employment screenings including background and drug test
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of automotive accounting, understanding of debits and credits.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
