Job Summary:
This is a fast paced, hybrid customer service position for Kartchner Caverns State Park.
Under the general direction of the Discovery Unit Supervisor and Park Manager, the employee will perform a variety of skilled work activities associated with the operation and maintenance of recreation-based or natural resource/historic park.
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Work both independently and with others.
- Provides excellent customer service to all visitors, in person and on the phone.
- Make reservations, process credit card and cash transactions using ASPT’s data based proprietary software.
- Completes all training required for this position and any additional duties in a timely manner.
- Administer customer satisfaction surveys and compile survey information.
- Lead cave tours, work the gate house, and drive tram when needed.
- Maintain public information signs, stocking of brochures, informational and educational literature available to the public in the Discovery Center.
- Monitor and administrate social media i.e. to include but not limited to Website updates, calendar of events, Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram.
- Responsible for customer service culture at Kartchner Caverns State Park and overall excellence of service to both outside and inside customers.
- Respects, advocates and educates the importance of preservation and cultural resources.
- All other duties as assigned.

This position must be able to work weekends and holidays and could possibly relocate to another state park seasonally and/or permanently.

Job Duties:
Duties include but are not limited to:

- Make reservations, process credit card and cash transactions using ASPT’s data based proprietary software.
- Cross train to lead cave tours, drive tram, work the gate out and trail when needed.
- Monitor and administer social media i.e. to include but not limited to website updates, calendar of events, Facebook, Twitter, and or Instagram.
- Maintain stocking of brochures and literature available to the public in the Discovery Center.
- Other duties as assigned as related to the position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of:

- Customer service principles.
- Basic bookkeeping techniques.
- Discretion and judgment in the handling of sensitive matters.
- Principles and practices of administration and management.
- Accounting and budgeting procedures.

Skill in:

- Customer service.
- Verbal and written communication and correspondence writing.
- Selling tours and campsites.
- Data entry.
- Obtaining customer information.
- Basic math skills, accuracy in record keeping.
- Various software programs, navigating within different programs simultaneously.
- Writing business letters, reports and memos.
- Organizational skills.
- Analyzing and resolving routine customer service problems.

Ability to:

- Work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Work high volume of telephone calls.
- Work effectively with tour agents and school or other large groups.
- Learn and use various equipment.
- Be flexible and adaptable as directed in requested work duties.
- Use sound judgement and initiative.
- Visit park sites to become familiar with products being sold (tours, campsites, ramadas, etc.).

Selective Preference(s):

- Experience in a call center environment.
- Prior experience and skill in customer service and data entry.
- Prior experience in parks and recreation.

Pre-Employment Requirements:
Customer Service Experience.
