The ESPN Executive Assistant carries out a range of duties under the supervision of the Deputy Chief Counsel and several other attorneys. The position assists attorneys with all facets of administrative support, as well as some more challenging substantive work, depending on capabilities, including contract drafting and analysis, generally of a more routine nature.

The ESPN Legal Department is seeking a motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual to support the team. This role contributes to the overall success of the department by coordinating confidential and complex administrative tasks with limited direction and closely partnering with other staff members for both the senior executive team within ESPN and the Walt Disney Company Legal and Global Affairs department.

**Responsibilities**
- Thoughtfully manage complex calendars - protect lawyers’ (including the Deputy Chief Counsel’s) time through strategic and proactive calendar management and vetting a variety of meeting requests
- Interface (both written and verbal) with various internal ESPN and Disney departments, executives and business units
- Manage highly confidential correspondence and information with utmost discretion and maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents
- Book relatively infrequent travel for Deputy Chief Counsel and others, build travel itineraries, and manage Travel & Entertainment expenses
- Ensure lawyers, including the Deputy Chief Counsel, are prepared for meetings and events, as necessary/requested. Research and report on specific topics as required
- Draft, revise and redline correspondence and other documents and assist with document preparation
- Assist in preparation and management of occasional meetings and presentations, including the creation of related materials (e.g., PowerPoint decks)
- Assist with on-boarding new department employees
- Manage and maintain various files, databases, and filing systems.
- Participate in the ESPN Legal Department administrative team, providing backup to other assistants and assist with departmental tasks

**Basic Qualifications**
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe, SAP, NetDocs, Litera comparison software and Concur; ability and willingness to learn and use new software and tools, including document management systems
- Ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, prioritize, meet deadlines, and be resourceful and flexible
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships across multiple levels of employees and clients within and outside the organization
- Highly organized, attentive to detail, strong proofreading skills, and ability to multi-task effectively
- Ability to exercise appropriate judgment in executing tasks without supervision
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)

**Preferred Qualifications**
- 3 years of experience in an administrative capacity for a senior executive (VP or higher)
- Experience supporting attorneys in a large law firm or large in-house legal department

**Preferred Education**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
