**Facilities Maintenance and Janitorial Specialist**:
Position Type & Benefits: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Benefits

Reports to: Director of Facilities

Direct Reports: This position does not have direct reports

Organizational Description: The Field School's program is ambitious and bold,

interests and needs. Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate
are also important, as Field faculty in leadership regularly work with other teachers,
student-support teams, department chairs, and academic leadership to ensure that
all of our students are being supported and challenged by our mission.

Position Overview:

- A dependable individual with solid experience working full-time as a maintenance_
- and janitorial specialist. In carrying out these responsibilities, the individual will_
- perform semi-skilled building and equipment maintenance tasks; carry out_
- will possess strong attention to detail, communication, and organization skills and_
- work effectively both individually and as part of a team._

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Handling basic repairs and maintenance: Drywall, door lock repairs,
plumbing, and lighting maintenance.
- Oversee contractors during quarterly and annual maintenance of equipment
- Perform minor building, plumbing, and electrical repairs as necessary
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
- Cleaning classrooms and offices
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel
and follow safety protocols
- Help prepare for events held on campus, including setup and breakdowns.
- Other duties as assigned
Specific Requirements:

- Proven maintenance experience
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace
defective parts
- Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, lift, saws, drills, and wrenches
- Ability to operate snow plow
- Ability to measure accurately, use electronic testing devices
- Experience performing routine maintenance
- Strong organizational and follow up skills
- Professional presentation and attitude
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to operate floor cleaning machines.
Qualifications:

- Previous working experience as a Maintenance Worker for 3+ years
- Ability to work within a team environment; relationship building is required
- Must be professional, prompt, and courteous communication when scheduling
and providing maintenance and working with outside vendors
- Effectively complete all requests in a timely manner and in order of receipt or
urgency.
- Have knowledge of regulations and basic safety procedures while performing
daily tasks
