Position: Full-time

**Accountant Position Summary**

This position is responsible for performing day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries and bank reconciliation in accordance with GAAP.

**Accountant Job Responsibilities**
- Accounting responsibilities include general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, reconcile construction closeout cost reports to QuickBooks, mortgage status reports, sale taxes, audits, escrow accounts and individual accounts records, lines of credit, mortgage payment and escrow reconciliations, requested financial reports, etc.
- Creation and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Maintains insurance records, pays premiums, and files all documents necessary to maintain policies in force for all insurance including homeowners, builders’ risk & general liability, automobile, worker’s compensation, errors and omissions, etc. Maintains appropriate certificate of insurance for all subcontractors.
- Works with leadership to prepare all needed reports.
- Arranges and coordinates annual audit with the selected accounting firm.
- Plan, implement, and manage the technical, administrative, and financial aspects to accomplish the workload for the assigned areas.
- Foster a team environment. Maintain positive relationships with customer’s and vendor’s personnel and representatives.
- Make recommendations for process improvements by analyzing productivity requirements, equipment considerations, industry benchmarks, and established work metrics.
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability for responsibilities, customer service and professional behavior through personal work ethic, teamwork, and effective communication skills.
- Review work product regularly to ensure work is on schedule and that the workmanship meets plans, specifications, and standards of quality.
- Analyze and monitor internal processes for scopes for which you are responsible.
- Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data.
- Ensure the worksite is clean, orderly, and visually appealing.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

**Accountant Education and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Require a minimum of two (2) years of experience in office environment; construction office experience preferred.
- Proficient MS Office skills required.
- Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- A minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of QuickBooks experience required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of job costing experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and document management required.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet specific deadlines.
- Able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
- Good analytical skills, able to make sound decisions utilizing the data at hand.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.

**Accountant Physical Demands**
- Primarily office environment.
- May require travel.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
