**DESCRIPTION OF WORK**:

- This County Casework Supervisor position is responsible for the overall operational planning, direction, supervision, and coordination of intake services. This includes the provision of supervisory oversight, assigning work, and the overall work performance of the General Protective Services Intake Unit which includes five (5) caseworkers and a Social Service Support Worker. Each employee has a regularly scheduled supervisory conference as well as meetings on an as needed basis.

With a working knowledge of all regulatory, policy, and procedural mandates, this supervisor will maintain statistics as outlined in the Luzerne County Children and Youth Services Case Weight and Monthly Statistic Reporting Policy. This includes monitoring the effectiveness of services provided through statistics and log keeping, and informing the Social Service Coordinator of service delivery issues or needs.

**Work Schedule and Additional Information**:

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- ** Salary**:_ _**In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Minimum Experience and Training Requirements**:

- Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; **or**:

- Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
