**Schedule: Part time, seasonal for the summer. Hours vary between 11am and 6pm**

**SUMMARY**

Serves meals to patrons on beach and consistently provides professional, attentive, genuinely friendly service to patrons Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following:

- Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
- Records orders in Micros POS.
- Ensures all orders are from authorized members/guests by checking member/guest cards.
- Relays order to kitchen, food runner and bar.
- Provides all necessary condiments for beach meals.
- Follows all policies for the responsible service of alcohol.
- Requests identification from customers when legal age is questionable.
- Observes guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.

Totals bill, processes and accepts payment in form membership/ room guest signature.
- Completes assigned "side work" (prerequisites for preparation/set up and closing).
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of his/her section on beach, followed by an end of shift inspection.
- Other duties may be assigned.

**OUTCOME**

The server has a great impact on how beach guests and patrons perceive their experience. A genuinely friendly, attentive, knowledgeable server can help ensure that the guest is satisfied with his/her food selection and is eager to return.

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must have the ability to communicate fluently in English.

Must have and maintain a current Food Handlers Card**.**
