**Company Description**

Thriving Families was founded in 2015 with the goal of bringing together highly competent and professional therapists to provide excellent service to clients. The purpose of Thriving Families is to contribute to a thriving community by helping individuals and families attain psychological, relational, and behavioral wellness. We do this by assisting clients to find healing, foster growth, and enact change they have been longing for.

**Essential (Necessary) Functions, Duties, and Tasks**
- provide personalized, trust-building, evidence-based, and goal-focused psychotherapy to a diverse array of clients
- build mutual rapport, respect, and trust with clients
- collaborate with clients to identify goals for treatment
- assess each client’s biological, psychological, social, and spiritual functioning
- diagnose mental health and behavioral disorders, and other conditions that may be a focus of clinical attention, using as a primary reference the _Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, Text Revised_
- formulate an appropriate treatment plan based on client’s goals, functioning, and resources
- enact psychotherapeutic interventions to move clients towards goals
- refer to, consult with, and collaborate with other professionals, clients, and collaterals as is in the best interest of the client in order to increase efficiency and success of treatment
- willingly receive honest feedback, critique, guidance, and direction from supervisor, and integrate such into work with clients expeditiously
- manage personal physical, mental, relational, and spiritual health in a realistic and mature way so as not to interfere with regular (typically, at least weekly) interaction with and treatment of clients as planned in coordination with supervisor and colleagues
- contact clients out of therapy session time to manage scheduling, clerical requirements (forms, invoices, superbills, assessments, etc.), and payments
- contact clients out of therapy session time to therapeutically manage client crises with appropriate boundaries, support, and referrals
- manage personal usage and scheduling of office space in collaboration with Thriving Families colleagues
- utilize the systems of Thriving Families (including electronic health record systems [“EHR”]) to maintain accurate and honest clinical, therapeutic, and financial records to promote clarity, efficiency, and ethicality in the organizational functioning
- willingly participate in basic upkeep and security of shared office space including, but not limited to the following: unlocking/locking doors; taking out the trash and disposing of food items in the main dumpster to avoid unpleasant odors, as needed; cleaning up after one’s self and clients to keep the space tidy, inviting, and comfortable; turning on/off lights, air conditioning, music, white noise machines, and other electronics to reduce cost and wear after hours; and reporting maintenance issues promptly
- maintaining appropriate professional confidentiality inside and outside of the office space, in all professional and personal interactions
- work in therapy with one or more of the following presenting problems: addiction (especially the spectrum of sexual addictions), child/adolescent behavior and mental health problems (school and home), failure to launch, parenting, family conflict, trauma, mood disorders (including various depression
