This is an hourly/wage position and is not entitled to the Commonwealth of Virginia’s state benefits package. This position is limited to no more than 1500 hours in a 12-month period and averages no more than 29 hours a week.

The Local Engagement and Support Division at the Virginia Department of Social Services is currently seeking a part-time Data Analyst. This position will be responsible for performing local employee engagement survey data analysis, tracking, reporting, and providing summarized data and recommendations necessary for the local departments of social services to make operational and strategic changes based on findings. The position assists the Project Manager with data analysis requests and special projects.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Experience collecting, organizing, and reporting statistical data.
- Knowledge of data management principles.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships; exchanging ideas and opinions.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage own time and work to attain goals and objectives.
- Skilled use in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Superior skills in Microsoft Excel.

**Additional Considerations**
- Experience using Qualtrics, and/or analyzing, organizing, and reporting survey data.

**Special Instructions**

VDSS will record information from each new employee’s Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) into the Federal E-Verify system to confirm identity and work authorization.
