Under the general direction of a Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent will be responsible for the development, design and maintenance of various databases. Identify development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving District 3/North Region (D3/NR) Business Management operations. Performs complex technical research and statistical work utilizing various data sources. Independently develop solutions, reports and research projects based on requests from customers throughout the North Region including staff, Functional Managers, and Executive Management.
Incumbent will independently design, update and test complex databases for the management of D3/North Region various resources, including but not limited to position authority, operating expenditures and personal services dollars. Assemble and edit datasets from data warehouses and other sources using MySQL, Microsoft Access and Filemaker Pro. Incumbent will collaborate with other professionals concerned with database programming and database management techniques.
The incumbent will be responsible for working with D3/NR functions to develop the overall look and design of front-end interfaces, and write code with programming languages such as PHP, HTML, Java, and JavaScript. The incumbent will produce, maintain, and modify these interfaces and routinely test for ease of use, speed and other quality factors, and fix any issues or bugs that may arise.
