**PRIMARY PURPOSE**:
Support the Director of Fine Arts in the evaluation, coordination, and enhancement of the district’s Fine Arts programs. Collaborate on the design and implementation of innovative curriculum, assessments, and guidelines for both curricular and extracurricular activities. Facilitate comprehensive support for enhancing instructional capacity in the Fine Arts through targeted professional development and coaching for educators and administrators. Foster strong partnerships with teachers to cultivate excellence and provide ongoing guidance, particularly for new and adjunct faculty members.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education/Certification**:

- Master’s degree in Educational Administration or a related Fine Arts discipline (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in a Fine Arts discipline or related field (preferred)

**Special Knowledge/Skills**:

- Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and technology in all Fine Arts disciplines
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs and teacher effectiveness
- Ability to initiate, develop, and grow Fine Arts programs throughout the district
- Ability to evaluate Fine Arts curriculum, resources, instruction, and staff
- Ability to coordinate district trainings and present effective and engaging staff development
- Ability to envision, coordinate, and implement high quality Fine Arts events throughout the year as an extension of the skills students are taught in the Fine Arts disciplines
- Ability to interpret and act upon data
- Strong organization, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to utilize appropriate technology, software, equipment, and devices
- Ability to monitor and balance multiple tasks

**Experience**:

- Three years experience as a classroom teacher
- Three years experience in instructional leadership roles preferred
- Demonstrated ability in coordinating and leading a successful Fine Arts program

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**:
**Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities**
- Spend at least 50% of the workday co-teaching in Fine Arts classrooms, coaching teachers, or working within department PLCs to enhance classroom instruction.
- Support teachers in designing quality learning experiences through targeted professional development.
- Lead the development, promotion, and support of fine arts curriculum, instructional programs, and extracurricular activities in collaboration with teachers, principals, staff, and committees.
- Assist with developing instructional materials, allocating resources, and developing assessments for all Fine Arts programs
- Ensure continuous monitoring and evaluation of instructional processes to achieve desired program outcomes and recognize successes.
- Remain current in best practices in adult learning as well as topics that will be central to the development and delivery of training including curriculum, instruction, assessment, classroom management, technology integration, social-emotional learning, and other areas impacting teacher and student success.
- Foster the development of innovative instructional programs and serve as a liaison between campuses and relevant educational and professional organizations (UIL, TEA, SBoE, etc.) to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with principals, teachers, students, and parents to coordinate strong Fine Arts programs and provide regular updates to the Director of Fine Arts.
- Take the initiative to develop professional skills appropriate to job assignments.
- Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of BISD and follow directives from superiors.
- Follow the Educator Code of Conduct, all policies, procedures, laws and State/Federal regulations.
- Compile, maintain, and present all reports, records, and other documents required.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
