**Responsibilities**:

- What you will be doing_:

- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Ensure compliance with FMLA regulations and assist employees with FMLA-related inquiries and requests.
- Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or concerns and recommend appropriate actions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation of new employees.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews.
- Maintain accurate HR records and files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
- Stay updated on relevant HR laws and regulations and make recommendations for policy changes as needed.
- Perform tasks related to payroll.
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications.
- Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex matters as needed.
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies and practices accordingly.
- Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- What you bring to the table:_
- Strong knowledge of benefits administration, including health insurance and retirement plans, coupled with familiarity with FMLA regulations and managing FMLA requests.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and make independent, sound decisions.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Drive, Asana, and Slack, with HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) considered a plus.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations, coupled with excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate when necessary, and maintain professionalism and integrity throughout all HR functions.
- Proficient with HRIS and talent management systems or the capability to quickly learn and adapt to organizational platforms.
- Qualifications_
- Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, Bachelor s Degree preferred.
- ** 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist**, ideally in a dynamic environment with at least 100 employees.
- SHRM-CP a plus.
- Experience administering **FMLA**, filing **EEO reports**, and other Compliance regulation programs for large employers.
