**Job description**

1.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the maintenance of the AeroGuard’s Ground Schools.

Responsibilities include:

- Instruct ground school classes covering Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, and Commercial Pilot knowledge areas.
- Maintain ground school schedule to reflect at least two months of classes.
- Develop and revise course content and courseware.
- Develop and maintain curriculum and testing standards.
- Collect and maintain ground school records.
- Maintain proficiency in and regularly conduct classroom instruction in all courses of instruction conducted by AeroGuard.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
- Must be able to be flexible and work evenings & weekends as needed.

2.0 REQUIREMENTS

2.1 EDUCATION
- Must hold either a current CFI/CFII/MEI certificate or an AGI/IGI certificate.

2.2 EXPERIENCE
- Possess practical management experience.
- Previous FAR part 141 instructing experience preferred.

2.3 SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify problems or potential problems and develop and implements solution.

2.4 KNOWLEDGE
- Must have practical operational knowledge of flight school operations.
- Will require proficiency in MS Office.

2.5 EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY USED
- General office equipment such as copier, personal computer, etc.

3.0 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Will be working in primarily the inside and outside of the facility.
- Will have limited exposure to aircraft, simulators and equipment.
- May have some medium lifting up to 50 lbs.
- May require prolonged periods of sitting or standing, bending and stooping.

4.0 OTHERS
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Self-starter, does not wait for others to provide work, finds ways to keep busy or help others.
- Works with mínimal supervision.
- Innovative/creative, finds faster ways to do things to save time to the organization and the client.
- Flexible/adaptable to fast changing pace and instructions according to client priorities. I have read and understand the duties outlined in this job description.

Available shifts:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Tuesday through Saturday, 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm
