Ascension Seton Shoal Creek is a 501(c)(3) non-profit psychiatric hospital providing a continuum of psychiatric services for adults experiencing mental health crises related to mood, substance use, personality, or thought disorders, including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Ascension Seton Shoal Creek are integral to the functioning of our hospital, providing direct behavioral health patient care on our inpatient units.
Responsibilities include establishing a therapeutic relationship with your assigned patients; assisting patients with performing activities of daily living; providing or assisting with diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions; observing/recording patient behavior and activities; reporting changes in patient condition; and suggesting treatment plan modifications based on your observations.
We have full time day and full time night availability. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. This position is eligible for night and weekend pay differential in addition to the base pay rate.
High school diploma or GED is required. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association must be obtained within 90 days of hire date. Experience in a hospital or behavioral health setting is preferred. An associate's or technical degree is preferred.
