**General Statement of Duties**

Under the direction of the Director of Federal Programs and Foundational Learning, this role aims to enhance educational outcomes by championing our division's instructional coaching model and organizing and facilitating the reflection of Title II professional learning opportunities. The primary goal is to bolster teacher efficacy and student success through fostering a culture of continuous improvement in teaching practices. By implementing the identify, learn, and improve cycle, the goal is to increase the presence of qualified educators in classrooms, ultimately elevating academic achievement and promoting holistic wellness within our educational community.

**Essential Duties**
- Provides leadership and vision in developing, implementing, and evaluating the HCPS instructional coaching model.
- Monitors and continually assesses the overall effectiveness of the hiring, induction, and mentoring of instructional coaching staff.
- Works with school leaders with ongoing review of assets and maximizing resources to meet School Quality goals
- Supports school leaders to implementation of HCPS Coaching Profiles to support the HCPS Instructional Model
- Communicates and works collaboratively and confidentially with those in a coaching role and administrators regarding the instructional coaching model.
- Organizes and provides support for large group professional learning.
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive online platform dedicated to HCPS instructional coaching model.
- Maintains a database of positions with coaching in the role profile.
- Provides and facilitates collaborations focused on role clarification and professional learning and content for coach meetings.
- Develops protocols that provide a framework for the support of coaching performance.
- Maintains, manages, and analyzes program data related to coaching assignments, professional learning, and teacher effectiveness and retention.
- Ensures the coaching positions are represented at recruiting functions.
- Works collaboratively as a thought partner with stakeholders from other departments to design, deliver, and assess professional learning for coaches and administrators.
- Partners with specialists to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate regarding coaching questions, suggestions, concerns and/or compliance issues to ensure the implementation of program goals and guidelines.
- Coordinates and provides support and leadership for Title II professional learning conference and consultant opportunities.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of Title II professional learning and identifies division needs and suggested next steps.
- Understands and implements the most current requirements of the Title II grant adhering to Federal mandates and Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) regulations focused on professional learning.
- Demonstrates commitment to personal professional growth and learning opportunities.
- Works with the Director to identify priorities, activities, and plans to ensure efficiency, accountability, and concordance with department and district targets and strategic goals.
- Communicates effectively to assist the Director with preparing contracts, memos, proposals, handbooks, RFPs, website information, advertisements, brochures, forms, and other official documents for the School Board, staff or other agencies.
- Develops and oversees procedures for determining materials and supplies; maintain accurate inventories of items purchased with federal funds.
- Works well in a collaborative environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- A valid Virginia teaching license
- A Master’s Degree in Education with an endorsement in Administration & Supervision PreK-12 required
- Administrative experience preferred as a principal, assistant principal, or associate principal
- Extensive knowledge of professional learning standards to include coaching vocabulary and models
- Effective communication, technology, and organizational skills and an attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate and maintain effective professional working relationships with administrators, teachers, staff, and community
- Demonstrate respect for the confidential nature of professional information
