Team Leader CNC Programmer/operator

North Kent Base is looking for an experienced CNC programmer/operator who has the ability to train other machinist and take this department to the next level. The CNC leader will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines, lead and guide a small crew, and be the main point of contact between shifts. They must be able to lead by example, have the ability to teach, train and share knowledge and information to others. This is a hands-on supervisorial position.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and essential duties required to successfully perform this job. This position will be for our facility located in Sand Lake, Michigan.

Primary Responsibilities:

- 1st Shift: 7am start time
- Program, setup, and operate CNC Milling machines
- Manage a growing team of skilled technicians
- Implementing Quality Management techniques
- Working with multiple people and various departments to meet production goals and due dates
- Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations

Qualifications and Skills
- Possess the ability to problem solve all issues that arise
- Proficient computer skills
- Experience with CAM Software, WorkNC is preferred
- Experience with Fanuc and or Milltronics machine controls is preferred
- Experience in complex, multiaxial, setups and cutting using a variety of materials and weldments for use on custom parts, bases, and fixtures.
- Communicate well with management regarding all employee and supply needs
- Must possess team leadership/supervisory skills, and work well in a team environment
- Dependability, honesty, self-confidence and a positive attitude
- A minimum of 2-4 years of 3-5-axis experience
