NAHB is looking for a HR Generalist to join the growing HR department. The HR Generalist plays a critical role by supporting a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, payroll, benefits administration and compliance. This position is designed to ensure the smooth operation of the HR department and uphold NAHB’s commitment to its employees’ success within the organization.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintain employee files and ensure the accuracy of any information related to payroll changes.
- Assist with the coordination of payroll-related actions and system maintenance.
- Maintain and manage the recruitment process in coordination with hiring managers.
- Maintain employee benefits records/files and assist employees with benefits-related queries.
- Oversee the onboarding process and ensure seamless integration into payroll, benefits and operations.
- Manage the separation process, including exit interviews and file closure.
- Create new employee files, manage I-9 and E-Verify processes, and maintain compliance records.
- Provide general administrative support and manage department expenses.
- Maintain department records and supplies, and coordinate with Finance as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Three to five years of proven experience in Human Resources.
- Experience in recruitment and managing the recruitment lifecycle.
- Familiarity with HR systems and payroll software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
