Carter Center For Children, is a full year, non-profit community based childcare center. We are proudly moving into our 42nd year of serving families in Needham.

We are currently seeking 1 qualified/certified teachers to teach, nurture and play in our young preschool classrooms. Current rate of pay $22.00 - $26.00 per hour.

You will have the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated and experienced co-teachers. Everyday you will have the opportunity to fulfill your vocation of working with young children. Our children are diverse, joyful and active learners.

We are a play-based center with an emphasis on supporting children in their social-emotional development. Our goal is to prepare and guide them in social and cognitive endeavors in the present with a pathway towards their future.

**Key Responsibilities**:
*plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum.

*recognize and support children's individuality and temperament.

*observe all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.

*collaborate with team members on maintaining a well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration and decision making by children.

*observation and assessment of children.

*adhere and maintain EEC regulations.

*passion, creativity and dedication for teaching young children.

*strong communication and collaboration for working as a team

*supportive and empathetic towards children and families.

**Qualifications**:
**BA/Associates in Early Childhood Education or related field**

**EEC Teacher/Lead Teacher certification**

**CPR and First Aid certified**

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
