**POSITION PURPOSE**:
YouthBuild Case Manager is responsible for providing case management and counseling services to participants enrolled in American YouthWorks’ YouthBuild Program.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES**:

- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions and basic tasks. _Under direct supervision of the Participant Services Manager, the Case Manager will perform the following functions:_
- Maintain a caseload of 20-25 YouthBuild participants providing case management services that include creating individual service plans, crisis intervention counseling, and assisting with court/probation-related issues, problem-solving, home visits, Information/referrals, parent/family support, and assisting with end of year follow-up;
- Have a working knowledge of community partners that can assist YouthBuild participants with social services;
- Be able to create an individual service plan for participants and lead new participant orientation activities;
- Assist with developing and producing informational materials about YouthBuild for community partners;
- Process and document support services for YouthBuild participants and alumni;
- Facilitate leadership development, life skills development, and events for participants;
- Work with education and vocational teams providing support in the classroom/on-site with members-related issues as needed;
- Attend transition meetings with participants and the transition team to assist with wrap-around services;
- Document and report program measures for quarterly grant reports;
- Transport members to and from off-site services;
- Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**_ Preferred_**

**EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION**:Master's Degree in related field

**_Minimum Required_**

**EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION**:Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Professional License in Social Work, Counseling/Psychology, or Chemical Dependency or a related field.

**EXPERIENCE**:Four years of previous related experience working with academically and socially at-risk opportunity youth and young adults with criminal records and a variety of lifestyles, behaviors, cultural and spiritual practices. Related experience in jobs training, youth development, working with contracts, reporting measurements, audit request, compliance, member coordination and, or working as a YouthBuild/AmeriCorps model;
**EQUIVALENT**:Bachelor’s degree in the specified or related field of study and 4 years of the specified work experience;
**OR **High school diploma or GED, and 8- years of work experience such as described in the essential functions and duties of the job description.
