The CalSTRS Procurement Management Division is seeking a motivated individual to work as a Staff Services Manager I (Supervisory) in the Outreach Unit.
- The Procurement Management Division serves as a collaborative conduit between the vendor community and CalSTRS business areas to secure competitive pricing from the most qualified providers to transparently fulfill the needs of our customers. We endeavor to provide excellent customer service through teamwork, system expertise and support.
- Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager II, the incumbent is responsible for managing, training, and supervising staff in Procurement Management Division’s Outreach Unit, with an emphasis on developing strategies of communication, data visualization, data analysis and research, stakeholder outreach, and technical assistance activities towards meeting requirements of state contracting.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of staff and management
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and a high degree of integrity
- Training, supervision, and management experience

Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.
- Please note that this is a limited-term position with the possibility of being extended up to 24 months or becoming permanent.
- **Telework Information**:CalSTRS offers a hybrid approach including in-office and remote work solutions with staff working on-site at our Headquarters in West Sacramento 2 days per week.
