Under the general direction of the Business Services Bureau Chief, Staff Services Manager (SSM) II, the SSM I directly and independently manages the Asset Management Section (AMS). The SSM I provides primary management oversight, direction, leadership, and supervision to staff responsible for managing all assets acquired by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). The AMS manages assets throughout in accordance with the State Administrative Manual across 40+ CDSS statewide offices. The SSM I plans, develop and improve policies and procedures, and develop strategic goals for the AMS.

Working Conditions
- This work location is very convenient The CDSS is located two blocks from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer’s markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80.
