Chapman and Cutler LLP is seeking a motivated Talent Development Assistant to join the Talent Development Department in the Chicago office. The Talent Development Assistant will provide excellent client service to our attorneys while supporting the Firm’s professional development, recruiting, diversity, and training goals as directed by the Director of Talent Acquisition and the Director of Talent Development and Diversity. This is an entry-level position, and we are willing to train a recent graduate interested in Talent Development. The position requires an in-office presence but includes flexibility for some remote work.

The day-to-day responsibilities of the Talent Development Assistant will include:

- Assist with the coordination of internal and external programs by managing meeting and program logistics including invitations, scheduling, booking and coordinating meeting room set-up and trouble shooting
- Assist with the planning and execution of attorney professional development, mentoring, and training programming
- Assist with attorney evaluation processes and related filing
- Coordinate and manage the Talent Development calendar
- Process finance needs of the department, including expenses and reimbursements, maintenance of the department corporate credit card accounts, and monitoring the department budgets
- Stay abreast of industry news and conduct market research as needed
- Act as main point of contact for the Firm’s online swag store, including monitor current stock, refreshing with new items as needed, liaising with vendor contacts, and placing new orders
- Assist with organization, planning and execution of Firm events and morale programs under the Talent Development umbrella
- Coordinate the Cristo Rey student program
- Research and coordinate organization of departmental meetings and team building events
- Assist with document creation, processing, proofreading, editing and formatting
- Assist members of the Talent Development team with the creation and update of presentations and PowerPoints
- Organizes and maintains Talent Development and policy files in document management system, manages file sharing and permissions of Talent Development documents in document management system
- Perform all other duties as assigned, including providing back-up coverage for other Talent Development positions when needed

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet shifting deadlines
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to multitask and execute projects with a high level of efficiency and accuracy
- Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative and desire to learn
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; enjoys collaborating and working in team settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation
- Dedication to a high level of client service and responsiveness
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Experience with ViDesktop or other similar Training/Development software system preferred
- Proficient with MS Office suite
- Committed to following all Firm policies and information security protocols
