**Reports to**:Project Manager

**Summary/Objective**

Hughes Building Company is a quality custom home builder seeking to fill the role of Superintendent. Hughes Building Company has concentrated on the design and development of many custom homes and select commercial projects in the Prescott Area.

**Essential Functions.**

This role will assist the company Project Manager in completing all aspects of the construction project. Duties will include the following:

- Manage daily site activity through communication with team and subcontractors
- Maintain site schedule through software based scheduling system
- Maintain a weekly job schedule through weekly look ahead communication with subcontractors and vendors via clear concise written, verbal and electronic communication.
- Complete daily logs and take daily site photos through cloud based software via phone and/or tablet
- Verify all subcontractors are performing daily scheduled work, while making daily inspections of work being performed to verify that is to design spec.
- Manage site material deliveries through subcontractors and vendors. Self perform delivery of materials to job sites as needed. Will also perform and schedule material returns.
- Coordinate all building inspections with various municipalities and special inspectors
- Report and complete action items from job site and construction project inspections
- Maintain site cleanliness through direct action and communication of expectations with all persons onsite
- Maintain daily site compliance with public works regulations and HOA standards
- Maintain all site documents ie: plans, engineering, design specifications and active changes.
- Verify all sites are secured nightly and ready for the next day.
- Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and schedule general maintenance

**Required Education and Experience**
- High School Diploma
- AA college degree preferred
- Construction experience required
- Experience using tools and operating machinery required
- Knowledge with Google Drive, I-PAD, and basic computer skills
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds
- Basic Skills Testing will be completed

**Work Environment**

This job operates in a physical construction environment. This employee is required to be professional when interacting with internal and external clients in the field. Every employee is a representation of the company. This role routinely uses construction equipment and typical machinery and tools present in the construction environment. This employee will routinely work in an environment containing loud noises, dirt, saw dust, construction raw materials and occasionally chemicals and oils.

**Physical Demands**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, push, pull a minimum of 50 pounds, perform manual labor, operate construction machinery and tools, sit and drive a company vehicle for long periods of time, and write, speak, hear, and inspect details of a construction project.

**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or as necessary to meet the needs of the business. Work schedules will be defined and approved by the direct manager.

**Travel**

Travel, locally and within the state, will be required to complete necessary errands in compliance with business needs.
