- **About this Role**:
The Enterprise Data and Information Management Program (EDIM), Program Data Reporting Division (PDRD) at the California DHCS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individuals to join our team as a Research Data Specialist III (RDS III) within the Benefits and Eligibility Data Support Branch.

The RDS III will determine the scope and parameters of research criteria and perform the more complex research and data analysis projects for the Program Data Reporting Division (PDRD), Benefits and Eligibility Data Support Branch, Medicare and Women's Health Data Section, Medicare and Duals Analytic Unit (MDAU). The RDS III will serve as a top expert in MDAU.

Under the general direction of the Research Science Supervisor I (RSS I), the RDS III will independently design, develop, and perform complex research projects or activities in support of the Medi-Cal Programs, specifically the MDAU. The RDS III will work with programs and data systems to develop measurement specifications and reporting processes. Additionally, the RDS III will serve as a lead for highly complex, research and data quality projects. The incumbent must demonstrate strong analytic, statistical, data governance, organizational, and communication skills and be able to use Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Structured Query Language (SQL), or other statistical/business intelligence software.

Working Conditions
- Telework is based on operational needs for employees who can perform their essential functions remotely and/or whose duties are conducive to teleworking per DHCS’ Telework Policy and in accordance with Government Code Sections 14200 - 14203 for employees residing in California. Should the incumbent need to report to an office, they will need to report to DHCS office location: 1700 K Street, Sacramento, CA.
