**Patient Registration Job Description**

Cameron Memorial Community Hospital is a 25-bed, independent, not-for-profit facility that proudly serves Angola and Steuben County. Hospital patient registration specialists are responsible for ensuring that all patients that come into a hospital are asked to fill out the correct forms to ensure that they provide the necessary information for their visits. They are tasked with providing patients with assistance in the registration process, answering any questions they may have, and reviewing the information provided to ensure it has been accurately and completely filled out. They are then responsible for inputting the information into the hospital's electronic registration system in a manner that makes it well-organized and easy for physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals to access. Hospital patient registration specialists also use classification software to aid in the process of health insurance classification and reimbursement for patients. Throughout their work, it is essential that hospital patient registration specialists maintain patient confidentiality.

**Summary**

A Financial Services Representative provides customer support duties, which include interacting with customers to handle complaints, process payments, and provide information about Cameron Memorial Community Hospital’s products and services.

**Essential Functions**
- Works directly with patients in person or over the phone addressing problems and taking payments
- Set patients up with HELP Financial loans to reconcile outstanding debt
- Process patient payments
- Manage and Reconcile bad debt accounts with Meduit and GLA
- Work Deceased, Estates and Bankruptcy accounts as needed
- Post required adjustments and notes as identified in EPIC

**Qualifications**
- Must be proficient on a computer

**Skills/Competencies**
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette and oral communications skills.

**Requirements**:
High School Diploma or GED
