**Title One Instructor**

**POSITION PURPOSE**:Assist classroom teacher(s) by providing support services to individuals, small groups, and/or whole classrooms of students for the sole purpose of increasing student achievement.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Support classroom instruction and increase student achievement
- Close achievement gap

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s degree required
- Teaching degree preferred

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Self-driven and motivated
- High energy - committed to teaching in collaboration with others
- Can motivate students
- Strong problem solver
- Skilled at communicating with staff and students
- Can model thinking and problem solving skills to students
- Believes all students can learn

**HOURS**:School year - 180 days per year; **32.5 **hours per week

**SALARY**:$18.50-$19.50, rate is dependent upon education and/or experience. Those with a Master's Degree are eligible for an additional $2.70 per hour. (Schedule #21-2)
